Managing Song Transitions In Mastering

Editing song transitions are a lot of fun. It requires relatively little effort, and can make a huge impact on the overall "flow" or "feel" of a record. Small decisions like these are an expression of taste, but also change the narrative of the record. It is essentially the "arranging" of smaller musical parts (the songs) into a larger composition (the album).
